About Albert Hall Museum

Construction began in 1876 and finished in 1887, designed by Samuel Swinton Jacob in the Indo-Saracenic style and later turned into a museum by Dr. Thomas Holbein Hendley. Named after Prince Albert, it's the oldest museum in Rajasthan, holding over 19,000 artefacts - including a well-known 2,300-year-old Egyptian mummy. The building lit up at night is a popular sight from Ram Niwas Garden.

Tips for Visitors
- ✓ The mummy gallery is a side room, not the main hall - ask a guard if you can't find it
- ✓ The ₹100 night-light ticket is separate from daytime entry - buy it if you want photos of the building lit up
- ✓ It closes one day a month for maintenance and the date isn't fixed - check same-day before planning around it
- ✓ Ram Niwas Garden's zoo entrance is right there too, worth combining if you've got the afternoon
